Patrick Maloney

Registered Occupational Therapist

MSc Occupational Therapy, BA Psychology

Doctor of Social Sciences Candidate

Patrick is a licensed Occupational Therapist with over ten years experience, currently completing his doctorate (PhD) in organizational wellness. Working throughout Western Canada in areas of mental health and vocational rehabilitation, Patrick brings a deep understanding for how health concerns interfere with life. Besides impacting how we earn a living, mental and physical injuries take time away from relationships, activities, and interests that are most important to us. Whether the issues are work-related or not, Patrick will help you identify practical steps to improve and optimize what you do.

Patrick is trained in a range of therapeutic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and Progressive Goal Attainment (PGAP). His doctoral research explores how mental well-being is impacted by mental fitness practices in corporate settings. Patrick is driven to help others perform at their best with psychological well-being, and brings this passion into his Occupational Therapy practice.

Prior to completing his Occupational Therapy training, Patrick played varsity basketball and earned Academic All-Canadian recognition as a student athlete. His approach to wellness draws on his sports background, experiences assisting culturally-diverse people in Western Canada, and current doctoral work – besides additional trainings and mentorship from the last decade. Whether navigating an injury or looking to optimize performance, Patrick enjoys the process of connecting with people to help reshape their lives.
